Colonie Karakoy Restaurant

Colonie is the newest restaurant/bar venture from the owners of Çırağan’s fine dining Topaz restaurant. In keeping with the rejuvenated creative neighborhood of this venue, the industrial chic atmosphere of the restaurant is mixed with dangling salami and prosciutto. The concrete floors, gray-washed walls, exposed steel ventilation units, and a red neon sign that declares "charcuterie" create a unique setting. The handsome interior and general nautical vibe is amplified by dim lighting and is a successful hook for the younger, hipper party set that frequent the Karaköy nightlife scene.

The menu features international classics from carpaccio and wood-fired pizza to salads and burgers as well as some Turkish favorites like köfte. Food is served all day, meaning you can take a break to grab a small bite as you read the newspaper, catch up on some work, or have dinner and a few drinks to get your evening started. But the bar and nightlife at Colonie will surely draw you in with a fully stocked bar and list of cocktails including all the classic and house specials such as the Hot Passion — a rum-based long drink with dominant passionfruit notes, the acidity of lime, and a pronounced kick of Mexican chilli pepper. 

Colonie also regularly hosts live DJ music over the weekends, and invites Karaköy’s hip crowd to wine, dine, and sip cocktails over designer marble-top tables or kick back in the cool breeze on the veranda.
